Development Coordinator for the Rend Lake College Foundation (Full-Time)

Rend Lake College seeks a full-time Development Coordinator for the Rend Lake College Foundation. This individual will: act as a front line representative and liaison for the Foundation CEO to all internal and external constituents; manage/coordinate the Student Scholarship Program by ensuring compliance with scholarship criteria, and Foundation and RLC policies; coordinate all aspects of scholarship application, review / selection and award process with schools, students / recipients, and donor; manage and maintain scholarship data, scholarship files and student files; maintain updated scholarship fund / payment records by donors; prepare appropriate correspondence to donors and scholarship recipients; monitor compliance with scholarship requirements; maintain contact with scholarship recipients and refer students to other college services as needed. Responsible for developing annual fund campaign materials, creating and executing all donor communication and solicitation strategies including but not limited to email, direct mail, phone and social media; manage, create content and assist with distribution of all donor and constituent communication (i.e. annual fund, scholarship program, special events and other development activities); create and maintain up to date Foundation marketing/promotional materials (printed and digital) including college website and social media outlets; coordinate alumni communication and cultivation strategies; assist with coordination of Foundation Board meetings; compile departmental reports; and other duties as assigned. Full-time nontenure-track position.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Human Services or related field from an accredited institution required.
  • Excellent communication (written and oral) and customer service skills required.
  • Must be creative.
  • Experience creating, writing and executing digital content and communications preferred.
  • Knowledge about growing and engaging social media and digital communication platforms is preferred.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, able to manage / prioritize multiple projects on a regular basis.
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite and Constant Contact preferred.
  • Experience with Ellucian's PowerCAMPUS, AwardSpring and Raiser's Edge helpful.
  • All candidates will be required to successfully pass a background screening process.
